X-Men: First Class

On Monday, me and my cousins decided to go watch X-Men: First Class since they were around for the mid-term school holiday. They came from Sarawak btw.

It was highly anticipated by us cousins, and as we entered the cinema we just couldn't wait to get into our sits and watch the movie.

It was a slow start in the beginning with the whole 1960's World WarII in Russia and Soviet Union and everything that happened in Russia back than, but they were smart to insert a few scenes that were funny so the viewers wouldn't feel the slowness of the movie as much.

But second half started to get interesting as there were more actions, and it wasn't a slow storyline as of the first half. Nevertheless, i think it was a good show and the film holds back tremendously from the seriousness and mopiness that dragged down a lot of the Snyder/Ratner films.

I do encourage you to go watch it, but do bring a friend a long just in case.

Transformation - Part 2 (30.5.2010)

We continued where we left out last week, and got this weeks part of the project done also. YAY! :)

Thank God for the extra volunteers who signed up, we had 31 all in all putting their sweat, strength, and energy to work.

We then had our lunch break, and were served Chicken Rice. Thanks to Acts Church who subsidized the price and to SMK SU for paying off the other half.

Without wasting any time, we got back to work by transporting the red soil from the front car park to the garden for extra layering. No doubt that this week was much harder and more tiring than the previous.

After we were done, everyone headed back except the few of us who decided to stay back a little to play badminton which soon became a game of catching. Hahaha xD!!

We then, hopped into Edwin's car and had dinner at JoJo's in SS15.

Walletless

On Thursday, I dropped my wallet somewhere and only realized it when I got back home. I panicked, and didn't know what to do. I was at the verge of crying, but instead I prayed and went to sleep. Hahaha xD!

Few minutes after that, I received a call from some random man asking me if I lost my I/C. So, he confirmed the stuff in the wallet and he came all the way to my house from God knows where, to return my wallet.

Got back everything, and not a single cent was missing. Really praise God for answering my prayers.

Headed to Aud's place because we were gonna go watch

Prince Of Persia - Sands Of Time
at Cathay Cineplex Damansara.

We got there and met up with Kaelan and Kaemon.
Thank God for Aud's friend, he helped us take our tics so we didn't have to go through the friggin long line.

The movie was great! It was the kind of movie where there is non-stop action, without the distractions of too much plot or movie characters. Not to forget, the scenes which involved parkour made it even more interesting to watch.

Overall, I would give it a 9/10. It's something I don't mind watching twice.
YES!! I wanna watch it again.

Transformation - Part 1 (22.5.10)

Last Saturday, was the beginning of something new for the students in SMK Subang Utama. In just a few weeks time, they will be getting a new garden! Although they already have one that was made up by the school, we still went ahead as planned.

Eight in the morning, and we all gathered with our tools and got to work. Everyone was given a respective task; loosening the land, plowing, pulling out weeds, chopping down trees, etc.

In every task, there must be a team leader. And for SMK Subang Utama's team, Joshua Chu is our captain.

Around ten, eleven-ish in the morning, it started to rain so heavily that we needed to stop everything that we were doing. We took this opportunity to rest, and was served breakfast.

Moving on, it didn't take long for the rain to stop. We got back to work, and this time we worked extra harder. By the time it was 1.30pm, we were done with the first half of the job. And guess what, we ended earlier than expected! YAY!!

We soon headed off for lunch at this "famous" fried chicken rice shop in SS14, and were treated by SMK Subang Utama.

Despite the backaches, muscle pains we have after that, it was all worth it. Because we know that this is for a good cause :D

Random-ness

So here I am, sitting all by myself at McD’s in Sunway Pyramid while waiting for my sister to finish her ActsKids meeting. Making full use of the free wifi and hogging the power plug all to me, mhuahahahaha.

There are loads to update, but I’m just lazy to type. Typical naught, lazy me. Haha.

I just realize that I’m famous!! I chose the right spot to sit. Oh, you know the one with Ronald McDonald’s figure sitting with his hands wide open, welcoming everyone to take a pic with him, in front of McD’s. Yeah, I’m right behind him. And for the past half an hour of me being here, there were lots of tourist and pictures taken. How many you may ask? Well, I would say enough to fill in the picture album. Wakakkakaa!!

I’m already starting to feel the boredom; I really pray my sis ends her meeting fast.

I guess that’s all for now, more to come in the coming days.

Woke up 6.30 in the morning to get ready to meet the others

(Audrey, Wei Yng & Jeremy) at KTM Subang.

Took a train to KL Sentral, had breakfast in McDonalds while waiting for KenJi to arrive. Walk to the monorail station and took another train to Imbi, where the event was held.

We got ourselves registered, and was given a shirt to change into. It was sort of like your entry pass, security was tight, and those who are not wearing the shirt weren't allowed in.

There were so many interesting games!! But the one I personally liked the most was the mechanical bull riding. Trust me when I say this, it's harder than it looks. SERIOUSLY!! hahaha

18th Birthday Surprise

Hahahha...

Went to McD's in Taipan with Kamini because she said she wanted to use their toilet and get herself a cup of ice-cream, but little did I know there was a greater purpose to why we were there.

To think back about it, how could I be so stupid and blur to not notice or suspect anything??!!

So, when we got up, a group of familiar faces started to sing a Happy Birthday song, and it turns out that it was my surprise birthday party. Everyone I love was there in the small little cozy corner, tables set up with food, birthday cake and cute little cupcakes.

Did a short speech, couldn't think of what to say as I was still in a moment of shock. Audrey then handed me an envelop, on top written -Joben's "I Need To Shop" Fund-. She told me everyone contributed, and it's quite an amount.

I wanna say a HUGE thank you to those who've made this happened (especially my sister and team) and to those who came, you guys rock and I really love all of you.

What a disaster!!

Had MAJOR problems with my Maxis broadband for the pass few days. I feel so out-dated, not being able to come online, check my mail, facebook and twitter, and my blog. Called Maxis center like a thousand times and all of them told me the same thing, that my laptop was the problem and not the broadband. As of today, I hate Maxis service and the people from the call center. They are so lazy, and their behaviour is intolerable.

I guess, this just wasn't my week. As if the broadband issue wasn't enough to drive me nuts, dinner today was miserable. My sis suddenly had "cravings" for seafood today, so we decided to have dinner in Tasty Pot steamboat at Sunway. Poor sister, she wanted to break her fast there, but little did she know the food there was bad. Everything just tasted so gross, we ate very little compared to the usual portions when we have steamboats for dinner. The drinks was a side order, that means it's not counted under the standard bill and it's not refillable. Wait, did I mentioned the price already? It's RM29 per person.. CRAZY huh??!!

ACTS Church hits the BIG 1.0

It was ACTS Church's 10th Anniversary, and it was held in Taylor's Lakeside Campus multipurpose hall.

The place was HUGE, it could fit up to approximately 1000-1500 people.. Since it was a special occasion, our service this week was slightly different. Instead of the usual 1 worship leader, we had 5 this time.

There was also special performances by:

(Lightbulb) & (YWA's ABC)

(ActsKids) & (Nigerian all-male choir)

Each performance was superb!! Everyone in the hall, young and old filled the place with shouts and cheers. At the end of every performance, everyone gave a standing ovation. Pr. Kenneth then took the mic and shared his heart out, sharing with us the history of how ACTS Church was birth.

After service ended, lunch was provided and we got to mingle around with new friends we've just met. Got the chance to also take pictures with the people I oh so love.

It was 10.30 at night when my friend called and asked me to come for his CNY (Chinese new year) open house. I really didn't feel like going, but in the end I've decided to just go because I miss them and I've not met them for the longest time ever..
I entered his house, and found out that everyone has already started playing. 1 table was playing cards, and the other played mahjong.

I felt so left out since I didn't know how to play any of the games they were playing. They tried explaining the game to me, but it just didn't sink in. (guess, because it was too late for my brain to function. wakakakaka :D)
After a few, food was ready to be consumed. Though it's all traditional Chinese food, it was still delish *yumyum*.

Yes, Chinese new year has passed, and yes, I've not been updating my blog. My transferer was PMS-ing, and I ended up having to buy a new one..

Anyway,
Last Saturday, Pr. Andy hosted a lunch get-together over at his place in Klang. We had KFC, curry puffs,

and for desert, we had ice cream which was half melted. Hahahahha :D
We talked about a lot of stuff, but the topic which caught everyone's attention was of course Politics.

Later, we moved on to playing Taboo. Shouts and laughter filled every corner of the house, but in the end, both teams had the same points.. Like, what the heck!! :D

All of a sudden, we heard someone shouted and it was Joshua Chu asking everyone to get ready and head back home.

Some of us went mamak instead, since we didn't have anything else to do.

And after that, we - Ben & Eugene C, KenJi and myself went over to the Choongs resident and had a short jamming session. (4plus1 was missing the 1 because she was out of town for awhile, haha)
A great day it was, just chilling and coming together as one BIG family to have an awesome bonding session. :)

Paranormal Activity

I finally watched Paranormal Activity, after decades *exaggerating, haha :D* of hearing people talked about it.
If you're a horror film fan, you must know how difficult it can be to find a good one. I bought the DVD with a nothing ventured nothing gained attitude. The show started slowly but the "creep" factor increased throughout the film, the happenings got more and more interesting towards the end. I didn't believe it at first when my friends told me they couldn't sleep after watching the show, but in the end it got to me too. This isn't a big budget glitz and glamour hollywood horror flick, but to me it's worth watching. From a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 6 due to the slow, boring start. Horror base, I'd give it an 8.5..

Today has been one of the most tiring day, went to five malls with other seven people and eight later at Summit.. First stop, Ikea. We went there just to eat their meatballs, and boy they were delicious. Found out some cool facts about Ikea, I felt so "jakoon" being there.. Hahahaha. While eating, we asked Ben Choong how was NS (national service) and his answer literally shocked us all..

We had a jamming session, and we paid like rm48 for registration fee and the jamming room. Ben C was playing the e.guitar, Eugene was on the drums, Ken-Ji played the bass, Justina and myself were the singers.. Sadly, we wasted one and a half hour on one song. Hahaha. But we had so much fun, some went crazy, or should I say 1 went crazy.........

Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief

Last Friday, me and a bunch of people decided to watch Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief. The show wasn't so bad as described by some of my friends who watched it before, I actually enjoyed it.. I wont say that it's the best movie of the year, but it was kindda interesting and it's something I would watch twice. If you'd ask me to rank it from a score of 1-10, I think I would give it a 7.5.. The effects wasn't bad at all, I could not see the flaws of it and the build of the show was just right.

But according to some people, they said the book is way better.. I guess I have to agree, based on previous movies that was dubbed from a book; i.e - Harry Potter & Twilight, erm erm *clears throat*. With all that was said, I still highly encourage everyone to watch the movie and also read the book. If I were you, I'd watch the movie first before reading the book just so you won't have high expectations on the movie. Have fun watching and reading, I bet you'll be entertained.

Those Were The Days

High school would probably be one of the worst experience ever, and I bet most people do agree with me.. Remember those teachers who are so fierce, you'd actually think she'll eat you up. Also, those teachers who dress as though they're still in their 2o's but old enough to be anyone's grandmother.. Hahaha :D what a sore to the eye, and those were the days..

But, if we look back at it, school can sometimes be interesting.. It could be anything. Maybe your first time cutting open a frog in Chemistry class, or making your first kain Batik in Arts class, etc etc.. For me personally, I was given the opportunity to direct a fashion show for our schools annual Merdeka celebration..

Drama and Choral Speaking was also one of the curricular activities I joined in school, and I love every moment practicing and going for competitions.. Our team reached great heights for both activities, representing our district and even state..

Sometimes the pain of letting that someone or that something go will lead you to a whole new beginning. It may be tough but it's all about the faith, and you just gotta keep the faith..

Everything seem to be alright in the beginning, but suffering and pain starts to invade your life as the days pass. You don't know how to face it because it came so sudden and you weren't prepared for it.. You went on with life pretending nothing happened because you thought it was gonna be ok, but there it was with you the whole time. Everywhere you go, it's there. When you turned around, it's behind you. It's there, in your dreams, while you're awake, and sometimes you don't have enough air for you to breath..

People may not see the pain that you're going through because you're so good at keeping it, but deep down all that pain and sorrow is just waiting to burst out.. You have been holding it in for so long and now it's time to let it out.

Wow, it has been ages since I last blogged. Sorry to all for not updating, it has been a really busy month for me. This post is going to be a really long one as I will be sharing with you all on what happened to me throughout this whole time of me mia-ing, but I promise and will try my best to cut it short.

Hmm, where do I start? Erm, oh! My last post was about me leaving for orang asli, and I shall start from where I left off.. It was an AMAZING trip from the beginning to the end, so adventurous and it's something I would like to do again. We met at Kelana Jaya LRT station at 6.30am, took a train to pudu and had Wan Tan Mee for breakfast at Pudu bus station. We left Pudu and arrived Tanah Rata, Cameron and had our lunch at The T-Cafe or will soon be known as The Lord's Cafe right opposite Tanah Rata bus station and above MarryBrown. The interior is very simple, very english settings but they also added a little touch of Asian by putting up Asian decors. The food is SUPERB!! Their lamb chop is a best-seller, the lamb is super huge and the plate is filled with coleslaw, fries and mashed potatoes. I love their scorns, we were ordering like there's no tomorrow. Hahaha.. After lunch, we took a ride down from Tanah Rata to Habu which is also the pastors house who is also the person that will sent us to the hiking point. We started our hike at 6.30pm and it was already getting dark, our yellow light torchlights did not helped at all.. The hike was very tiring, but we manage to reach the village within 2 hours and they said that we were the fastest team yet. Through out our 4 days 3 nights stay there, we had lots of fun with the kids, the girls had time to converse with the women in the village, we had a great service and the best part was we all caught something/testimony from this trip. It was great to be a blessing, but it was even greater that we were all blessed.

Ok, moving on is my trials. Right after the orang asli trip, I had my SPM trials and it went on for 4 weeks non stop. I was like so giler stress, and I was so tired.. Why was my trials so long? 2 weeks was school trials and the other 2 was from the government.. I just wish that SPM faster ends, can't take it any more, too much for my brain to handle. Hahahaha.

This is the last update. To all who don't know, my dad is now diagnose with DLBCL stage 4 cancer. Me and my family have been in and out of University Hospital because my dad was admitted due to heavy vomiting, we would visit him every day until he was discharged right after each of us comes back from school and work.. Even after he was discharged, we still went back there every month for my dads monthly check up.. I know which place is nice to eat, I know which shop sells nicer waffles, I know every single corner of the hospital from the old building to the new building. Hehehe.. Me and my sis used to explore the hospital when my mum was busy taking care of my dad, we're the type of people who just can't sit still and also we wanted to give my parents alone time together.. My dad is feeling much better now, he will be doing a CT scan this coming Monday, will update more on my dad when we get the results. Just wanna use this opportunity to say thanks to all who came and visit and to everyone who prayed for my dad and my family, we really appreciate and may God bless you..

The time is finally here, I'll be leaving for OA in 15 minutes.. The adrenaline rush is driving me crazy, I'm so excited and kan cheong!! Now I'm waiting for Charlotte's mum to come pick me up, then we'll go to court 7 and pick Benedict. From there 2 cars, Matt's mum and Charlotte's mum will be driving us to Kelana Jaya LRT station. A big thank you to Matt's and Charlotte's mum for making such a big sacrifice, waking up early in the morning just to send us off.. Thank you so much aunts!!! Thats all for now, will hear more after 4 days. Arghhhhhhh!!!

1 Day Left

We had our last OA meeting earlier at Philips house, and only then I realise that I have only 1 more day left to bye bye world.. Haha, typical over dramatic me.. It wont be that bad la, I believe that we're all gonna have fun there. I heard the kids there are "lovely", their pet animals are fun to play with.. Oh, their cold windy and peaceful night.. Wow, that will be awesome!! Fresh air through out the 4 days, and no disturbance.. But the hike will be a challenge!! Imagine, 4 hours of non stop stiff mountain hike while carrying at least 10kg of stuff on our back.. Lord Jesus, I need You. Haha..

This post is for my "dearly beloved" sister.. Haha.

For all you who reads or follows my blog, you will realise that there are a few changes that has been made.. Modification was made only now was because honestly I didn't really know how to work my blog previously. I tried my best a thousand times and I still failed!! What a loser, hahaha.. I started loosing interest in blogging and I stayed with writing in journals. Funny thing is, I didn't try asking people for help, my ego totally blinded me from the beauty of blogging.. Hehh. One fine day, my sister came back home from work and she showed me her blog.. It was well done, fully furnished and she only started blogging that day.. She had everything under-controlled, it was beautiful, very artistic yet not over done. She's like good at everything, she's also the brains of the family. I couldn't stand it no more, I sucked in my ego and I asked her to help with my blog.. She did everything she could, I was watching her reinventing my blog and she was like some computer genius clicking away doing what she needed to do to bring my blog back to life.. In matter of minutes, she was done and it was awesome, simple and most of all GREEN!! I just wanna say thanks to my sister for helping me, not only for this blog but other things that she has helped me with in the past, things she is helping me with now and things that she will helped with in the future.. Thank you so much, I don't know what I'll do without my sister.

Shopping

Yesterday was really a tiring day for me. I had OA meeting with the team at Philip's house, we planned what we needed to do and stuff to buy and we're off to go shopping at Kelana Jaya's Giant.. 9 of us all together, 2 cars and a list filled with lots of stuff we needed to get. After we arrived at Giant, we head straight to get our wet wipes, hand sanitizers, shower cream, toothpaste, etc etc.. Later, we break into our own departments and went around Giant searching for what we are suppose to get. As for food side, we(myself, Sandra, Ben Koo) were given a budget of rm400-500 to spend. We got as much stuff as possible, yet we did not went over our budget and it all summed up to a total of rm260 only.. Hahaha, wise spender. After all the shopping, my body was ready to break. My leg hurts so bad and I was really hungry my stomach started growling as I was fasting, but thank God for his strength, I wouldn't have been able to survive the day if it wasn't because of Him. We went to KFC for dinner and head home..

There's a bomb in my head

Wow, its been ages since I last bloged..
Anyways, this week has been CRAZY!! On Tuesday my whole body felt so weak, my dad took me to the doctors and the doctor said I had high fever, 38 degree.. He gave me medication, mc and so on.. Wednesday, I was feeling better but I still suffered with severe headache, and my body still felt weak.. As night came, I was preparing my stuff for school the next day, ate dinner, took medication and went to bed. Thursday morning, when my mum came to my room and wake me up, I felt so cold as though as I am naked in ice water. My mum tested and she comfirmed it sayin that my fever is back and its 39 degree this time. I felt like dying, felt like there was a bomb that just exploded in my head. I couldnt stand to go to toilet, felt like a lame person. Today, I went to school. I really wanted to go to school, meet my friends, get out of my gloomy house, study. Again, I thought I was fine, but my fever is back. I dont know whats wrong with me, even as I am writting this my head hurts so bad. Tomorow will be another full day for me, I'll be out of the house from 11am-6pm. How am I gonna survive, help me Lord.

"Hey Joben.. WAH!!! Why you look so tired wan??"

Thats the question I've been getting from my friends, teachers and people around me. Its been a really crazy 2 weeks, I've only slept 1 hour a day sometimes 3 hours tops.. Mid-year has really snatch my sleeping time away, and I have to admit that it is affecting my health.. Sometimes I'm not thinking properly in school, my blurness has grown ALOT!! The only time when I can find time to "sleep" is after I've done my exam, I try my best to finish up my papers early but it rarely happens because mid-year is alot harder than I expected it to be.. Its been 8 days I've been taking exam and 4 more days to go, just a lil bit more and I can get some rest. I need to PUSH just abit more!!

Talking bout PUSH, Subang Rally is just 1 month away.. I'm so nervous, what if I dont do a good job leading worship, what if I dont meet up the expectations of people.. ARGHH!! Im stressing out.. Lord I need U!! Not by might, not by power, but by the spirit of the Lord that I can do this.. Anyhus, hundreds, probably thousands of people will be packing up Subang Rally concert and its gonna be an awesome time..

A Night Out.

I woke up at 8.20pm after a 1 half hour nap and receives a call from a friend inviting me and my sister out to Fly FM Campur Cart gig at Laundry Bar the Curve as he did not want to go alone.. We agreed and not long after we were on our journey there.. As we reached, music was bumming and humans crowding the area.. Lots of indie bands performed. Some good ones, some (to me) not so good.. Mia Palencia performed and it was SUPERB!! Wanted to watch Altered Frequency perform but we were too late.. The gig was awesome and filled with happening people.. As usual we had the Fly FM's DJs mc-ing the show and the whole point of the gig is in support of the 60 Hour Earth Day.. We had a great time..

Mardy's Sweet 16 Bday Bash

8.45pm we (me and sab) reached infront of Mardheannas awesome wooden auto gate.. We entered and the whole house was filled with UV lights which made all our white shirts GLOW.. We felt out of place as we didnt know most of the people there but thank God Oon Hui showed up n followed from behind was Amirah!! They totally saved us.. Later we had a great tasty dinner, we were treated with pastas, fruit and vege salads, choc chip cakes and a whole lot more.. While we were busy eating in the other hall, people outside was busy dancing while singing along with the music that was playing on the music player.. Not long after that, it was time for Mardy to cut the cake, we sang her a bday song and asked her to make a wish before blowing the candles.. We had a great night, I personally will say its a night to remember...

Spozee The Few Days Old Kitten..

That was what came to my mind when I first saw d addorable few days old kitten last wednesday.. Its fur was as white as snow covered with a few black spots.. Left side of its ear is black n right side of its ear is white in colour.. Me n my sister took cr of it, feed it, nurture it n LOVE it.. We hope and was confident to see d little kitten grow into an adult cat because we have experienced such a thing.. But as d days go by, its getting weaker and we dont know what else to do.. We tried feeding it but it keeps vomiting its milk out.. What should we do? Have been seeking for advise and I get d same answer every time.. "theres nothing you can do, its almost time for it to go.. It needs its mums milk to survive.." those are d answers I get, so frustrating.. But what else can I do, but d answers I get are all so true.. Should I continue to tk cr of it until it dies?
Pls help me save little Spotzee..
